End of a mega weekend - Wow, what a couple of days we have had in The Hundred. As many as 8 matches across the Men's and the Women's competitions, including one washout, but the 2026 season has truly kicked up into fifth gear. And there's no stopping the action either, as the new week brings in a whole host of new fixtures. We kick things off on Monday, 27 July, as Southern Brave square up against MI London in Southampton. Let's hear from Rockets' heroes - The skipper, Sam Billings, says it was a terrific game of cricket. Believes that it was not the kind of wicket where you could get going from ball one and praises Ben Duckett for playing a superb innings. He also reserves special praise for Craig Overton, saying what he did showed the value of having genuine all-rounders and a long batting order. Craig Overton then joins the fray and says that doing well against a quality bowler gives you confidence, acknowledging that Andrew Tye doesn't miss his lengths very often. Craig says he managed to put a couple away for six and, once they got close to the target, it was about assessing the situation but if the ball was in his slot, he was always going to have a swing.

Neck-and-neck till the end - Right from the start of this game, neither side really had the upper hand for a long period of time and whenever one team seemed to be pulling ahead, the other managed to peg it back. London Spirit were asked to bat first and 4 out of their top 5 batters got starts, but it was the stand between Liam Livingstone and Dewald Brevis that got them into a promising position. The Spirit threatened to pile on a big total but the Rockets managed to pick up timely wickets and managed to keep the visitors down to a par total. In reply, Ben Duckett played a lone hand in the top order for the Rockets with a fine 75. However, the hosts were always under the pump as David Willey and Adam Milne both bowled stellar spells. Sam Billings then came in and provided some impetus with his imaginative strokeplay, but it was Craig Overton's unbeaten 20 off just 6 balls that proved to be the difference.

Player of the Match - Ben Duckett has been handed the accolade for his stellar knock of 75 off just 47 balls. Ben Duckett says falling short in the last game didn't bother them too much because they knew they had plenty of batters in form. Adds that the beauty of this side is the batting depth, and he praises Craig Overton for the way he finished things off at the end. Duckett says it was a good pitch with plenty of bounce early on, so the scoop proved to be an effective option to put the bowlers off their lengths. Adds that he is not quite sure what a par score here is just yet. He praises the bowlers for doing a fine job and says the message was to be brave and back their skills. Ben also hails Craig Overton, saying he has been outstanding recently. He finishes by saying these are the games you want to come out on top in, because slipping to 0-2 would have left them with a steep climb.

Craig gets one over Jamie - The tale of twin brothers - Jamie Overton and Craig Overton, who found themselves in a position where one had to topple the other for glory, and it was Craig who set the tone with a six off the first ball of that final set and there was no coming back for Jamie. Overall, the chase really kept flowing one way then the other but a couple of cameos at the death took the Rockets over the line.

The thriller at the Bridge - Are you not entertained? A game that had it all, even a passing shower, and in the end it is the home team - the Trent Rockets - who get their first win of the season in epic fashion. Heartbreak for London Spirit, who played their part in the game, but will go home empty-handed.

Craig Overton has done it for the Trent Rockets. A blinder by Craig has helped the Rockets seal their first win of the season. Jamie digs it in short but takes pace off, on off. Craig gets his hands high and helps the pull behind square leg. The deep backward square leg fielder moves to his right but cannot prevent the batters from taking the second run. Craig raises his hand aloft in celebration. Joy all around at Trent Bridge, and it is a perfect end to the weekend.

That brings the equation down to 2 needed off 3. Pace off now, on a short of a length. Overton hangs back and punches it to the left of deep point for a brace.

SIX! All the way! Off the top edge but it does not matter one bit to Rockets and their fans. Jamie tucks Craig up for room, on a hard length. Craig swivels to shovel it away. Gets a top edge and it sails way over long leg for a six. Jamie has a wry smile on his face as he turns back to his mark. Rockets now require 4 runs from 4 balls.

Now, this is what we wanted. Overton vs Overton for the match - you simply cannot write this stuff. Here's Jamie Overton, looking to defend 9 runs off the final set against his brother Craig Overton.

Another couple for Overton. Nails the yorker, does Tye. Craig jams it out in front of square on the leg side and comes back for the second run before any of the deep fielders can get to the ball. The 150 is up for the Trent Rockets.

The time to finish the innings has run out, and London Spirit will have to have an extra fielder inside the ring for the remainder of the innings.

A better throw would have found Overton wanting. At the sticks. Overton has a big swing at it but mistimes it off the inner half. The ball dribbles through square leg and the batters commit to the second run. Lhuan-dre Pretorius fires in a throw at the batting end but his throw is wide and Jonny Bairstow cannot gather it cleanly as Overton stretches forward to get home.

SIX! Have some of that, says Craig Overton. In the slot by Tye, on middle. Overton hangs back in the crease and just swings through the line. Clobbers it over wide long on for a six. 14 needed off 7.

Very full and following the batter as he backs away. Santner digs it out to long on for a single.

FOUR! Santner finds the fence. Tye goes into the wicket, on middle. Mitch stands tall and gets his hands high to play the pull. Hits it wide of the diving deep mid-wicket fielder, whose effort goes in vain.

Milne might have just won it for his team with that set of 5. Craig Overton walks out to bat at number 8. Also, it will be Andrew Tye to bowl the crucial penultimate set.

OUT! CAUGHT! Adam Milne ends the set just the way he started. It sounded good but not enough to clear the fence. On a short of a length, on off. Gregory moves closer to the line of the ball and has a swing across the line. Gets it more off the inner half of the bat and he holes out to deep mid-wicket, where James Coles completes the catch. 2 wickets and just 2 runs off the set. 25 required off 10.

Targeting the middle stump, on a good length. Santner makes room and smears it to deep mid-wicket for a run.

Full and straight, at pace, on middle. Gregory hangs deep in the crease but can only bunt it to mid on for a single.

Half a shout for LBW. Turned down. Nipping back a touch, on a good length, on middle. Lewis Gregory plays all around it and wears it on the back thigh pad. Liam Livingstone checks with the keeper and decides against the review.

Sam Billings simply cannot believe it. That was crunched, but he's picked out the fielder to perfection. Out walks Lewis Gregory to bat now.

OUT! TAKEN! Another twist in the game. Sam Billings could not have picked out the fielder any better. Five yards either side and it would have been a boundary. Milne goes into the surface, on off. Billings makes room and cracks the cut. Hits it flat and straight to deep cover, where Dewald Brevis snaffles it around his chest. Rockets are now 5 down, needing 27 off 14 balls.

In the air...but safe. Adam Zampa has his hands on his waist in disbelief. Around off, this drops on the batter. Billings attempts the sweep, trying to go over the man at square leg. A top edge is found but the ball drops out of the reach of the back-tracking Andrew Tye there. Two taken. 12 runs off the set. 27 needed off 15.

Billings is safe. Keeps it full, on middle. Sam gets his hands out in front and hangs low to sweep it wide of deep mid-wicket. He takes the first run hard and comes charging back for the second run. Jonny Bairstow gathers the ball on the bounce and breaks the stumps but Billings puts in a full-length dive to get home.

SIX! Clever, very clever! Tossed up by Zampa, on middle, a bit too full. WIth fine leg and square leg both up inside the circle, Billings steps inside the line of the ball and laps it over long leg for a six.

Oh, that could have gone back onto the stumps. This is slower, around off. Sam tries the reverse but swings early. The ball deflects off the pads onto the gloves and it sneaks just past the sticks.

SIX! Incredible shot. Sliding on with the arm, on off. Billings brings out the reverse and executes it to perfection. Gets his hands through the line of the ball and swats it over cover for a flat six.

Liam Livingstone has three sets remaining from his pacers, so either Adam Zampa or Livingstone himself will have to bowl one set. And it is Zampa who comes back on.
