  • Bangladesh have won three of their last five men’s ODIs against India (L2), with their most recent clash in the format ending in a seven-wicket loss for the Tigers (19 October 2023); in fact, they also lost their only game against the Men in Blue at the ICC Champions Trophy – a nine-wicket loss in the Semifinal of the 2017 edition.
  • India are unbeaten in each of their six men’s ODIs played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium (W5 T1), having won both their clashes with Bangladesh at the venue; in fact, the Men in Blue have never lost to the Tigers in the UAE (P3 W3).
  • Bangladesh have lost five of their last six men’s ODIs (W1), including losing each of the last four on the bounce; the last time the Tigers went on a longer losing run in the format was a stretch of six losses in October 2023 during the ICC World Cup, which included a seven-wicket loss to India (19 October 2023).
  • India have won each of their three men’s ODIs played in 2025, after going winless in their last three matches in the format in 2024 (T1 L2); the last time the Men in Blue went on longer winning run in the format was a stretch of 10 wins between October and November in 2023 – during the ICC World Cup 2023.
  • Batters have left 4.9% of Bangladesh’s deliveries in men’s ODIs since the start of 2023, the second best such rate by any full-member side behind South Africa (5.4%); however, the last time the Tigers induced a leave rate of five percentage or more in a single game in the format was on 18 March 2024 (6.3% vs Sri Lanka), failing to do so in their six ODIs since then.
  • India have scored 53.1% of their 10,566 runs in men’s ODIs since the start of 2023 via boundaries, the second highest such share by any full-member side behind Australia (56.4%); in fact, only Australia (7.8 balls per boundary) have scored their boundaries at a faster rate during this period than the Men in Blue (8.2 balls per boundary).
  • Mushfiqur Rahim (Bangladesh) has scored 703 runs in men’s ODIs against India, only Shakib Al Hasan (751 runs) among the Tigers has more such runs in the format; however, Mushfiqur has scored more than 50 runs only once in his last 13 innings against the Men in Blue (61 runs off 85 balls in the semifinal of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 on 15 June 2017).
  • India’s Virat Kohli (13,963 runs) is 37 away from becoming the third batter to scored 14,000 runs in men’s ODIs after Sachin Tendulkar (18,426) and Kumar Sangakkara (14,234); Kohli has 50+ scores in three of his last five innings in the ICC Champions Trophy, including an unbeaten 96 in his only meeting against Bangladesh in the competition.
  • Najmul Hossain Shanto (Bangladesh) has scored 286 runs at an average of 71.5 in men’s ODIs since the start of 2024, only Sherfane Rutherford (106.3) has scored at a higher such rate than Shanto (min. 5 innings batted); however, his 36 runs against India in the format is his lowest against any opponent he has faced multiple times.
  • India’s Mohammed Shami (197 wickets) is three away from becoming the eighth Indian bowler to record 200 scalps in men’s ODIs; three or more wickets against Bangladesh will see Shami reach the landmark in 104 games*, making him the joint second fastest to do so alongside Saqlain Mushtaq (Mitchell Starc – 102 matches).
